Former Maoist combatant murdered

A former Maoist combatant of Bedkot Municipality-1 in Kanchanpur district was killed and thrown on the road last night.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kedar Khanal said that Bishnu Bhatta, 50, was murdered by an unidentified group and the body was placed on the East-West Highway. “Bruises are visible in different parts of Bhatta’s body.

It seems that the body was thrown on the road after murdering him to show that he was killed in the road accident,” DSP Khanal said.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Tulasi Prasad Adhikari of the District Police Office and other police personnel have reached the incident site for investigations.
